John Cena made his triumphant return at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in the main event of Roman Reigns vs Edge for the Universal Championship.

It was earlier speculated that John Cena will battle SummerSlam against Reigns and then head back for his movie schedule. But the case may be otherwise.

WWE recently revealed on their website that Cena will be there when SmackDown returns to Madison Square Garden after SummerSlam on September 10.

Looks like Cena is back in the business for one final long run, and maybe this time, he will beat Ric Flair’s record.

John Cena will grace the audience at Madison Square Garden after the SummerSlam PPV

Cena will be around WWE after SummerSlam, at least for one show, as the WWE advertises for now. WWE is advertising the show as the ‘Super Show’, as the episode will feature SmackDown with RAW stars as well.

WWE announced on its website that the 16-time world champion will be there to grace the audience. Maybe then, Cena will confess about his actual remaining tenure with the WWE.

Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of the action when WWE makes its highly anticipated return to New York City for Friday Night SmackDown, broadcasting live Friday, Sept. 10, on FOX at 8/7 C. The epic event will also feature Universal Champion Roman Reigns, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos, Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews, Edge, Sasha Banks, Seth Rollins, Big E, Kevin Owens and more.

Notably, September 10th is the only post-SummerSlam appearance that WWE has advertised Cena for at this point. Clearly, Vince McMahon is doing so to boost ticket sales as it is getting harder and harder for companies to fill out arenas in this pandemic.

Interestingly enough, WWE has been booking the Cena – Reigns feud at a slower pace. Maybe, Reigns accepting Finn Balor’s challenge ahead of Cena is part of a storyline where Cena will be present after the SummerSlam PPV.
