Wrestlers give their hearts out in training. Especially ahead of big events, they need to be at their A-game to deliver the best match. During his time, all of this was child’s play for WWE veteran, Stone Cold. However, Steve Austin reached his limits to stay in shape for WrestleMania 38. In a recent interview, Cold credited another WWE veteran’s workout video to have helped him to get in the flow.

Stone Cold Steve Austin turned into a ‘Celtic Warrior’, for WrestleMania 38

In a recent episode of ‘Out of Character’, WWE journalist Ryan Satin was curious about Cold’s in-ring training practice, ahead of the big night. However, Austin answered he had exactly “Zero” training inside the ring, before the show.

However, the 58-year-old sought to catch up with the latest workouts and techniques. During that time, Cold ran into Sheamus’ YouTube channel dedicated to fulfilling that need for athletes: The Celtic Warrior Workout.

Cold stated, “I love Sheamus. he’s got a great YouTube channel, the Celtic Warrior workout.” And added “I got on there I watched uh Edge’s routine, I watched uh Bryan Daniels or Daniel Bryans, whatever his name is…” and dismissed their workout videos. Austin didn’t feel comfortable performing the type of workouts that Daniel Bryan and Edge could pull off. The Texas Rattlesnake found an alternative wrestler’s routine which suited his needs.

Austin discovered the ‘cold truth’ about wrestling

However, it was Becky Lynch’s workout video that Stone Cold could relate to the most. As he said, “so I did Becky Lynch’s routine over and over and over again, and then I invented my own out of that.” Therefore, he took notes from the ‘Big Time Becks’ to get in shape. However, that training didn’t suffice as Cold quickly learned a hard truth.

Fans really loved catching a glimpse of Stone Cold at WrestleMania 38. His segment has to be one of the most memorable in recent times. Steve Austin came into the ring as Austin Theory and Vince McMahon doubled on Pat McAfee. However, Cold quickly took the match into his control and delivered one stunner after another, to mark his return.

Moreover, ‘The Ringmaster’ drank a lot of beers, which fans thought was a new gimmick. However, Steve Austin clarified that this was actually because he needed to get hydrated and restore his energy. Therefore, our favorite wrestlers of the past cannot cope up to today’s training levels.
