One can’t look at Dwayne Johnson’s mountainous stature and see an agile athlete, quick on his feet. Surely, the former WWE champion can sprint and gain momentum on his feet. But, he’s nowhere close to a professional sprinter, in terms of his time. Moreover, The ‘Brahma Bull’ insisted he could cover a 40-yard dash at a blazing fast time. Even surpassing Tom Brady’s personal best of 5.17 seconds. Fans heard this bold statement from the iconic WWE wrestler and couldn’t help but giggle.

Fans couldn’t believe a word out of Dwayne Johnson in a recent tweet

The Black Adam actor claimed that he could cover a 40-yard dash in 4.72 seconds. But WWE fans didn’t feel he could manage the time at his age. Moreover, Twitter users took apart this overconfident statement from The Rock in the comment section.

Fans wrote in the comments:

Many fans didn’t agree with Johnson’s bold claim.

Others wanted to see conclusive evidence to prove his point.

Few fans are still hopeful of The Rock’s return to WWE.

However, some felt he was not in shape for the ring.

The Rock’s attempt to convince fans of his athleticism failed miserably. However, the Fast and Furious actor is known to spend insane amount of hours in the gym. One can only hope that he will take these trolls as constructive criticism and will come back strongly to prove his doubters wrong. The Rock has always been a live example of the championship mentality that he himself often preaches.

The Rock initially wanted to promote his upcoming XFL 2023 season

In his recent tweet, Dwayne Johnson interacted with the candidates for the upcoming season of XFL. Being the owner of the promotion, his face adds a lot of value to the promotional material. However, he wanted to prove the world that he can run. Therefore, he wrote “For the record, my fastest 40 time was 4.69 at training camp. I weighed 272lbs This morning I weighed 265lbs and my fat ass can run a legit 4.72… straight to my cheat meals 😂 Watch me run this weekend when we kick off our @XFL2023 season on @ESPN & @ABCNetwork 🏈” 

This tweet gave fans an opportunity to take a dig at his athleticism. However, some fans took inspiration from this statement and congratulated the Hollywood superstar on his time.
