Even though Dwayne Johnson stopped being a regular WWE performer a long time ago, his cousins carry the Anoa’i family legacy on in The Bloodline. In fact, WWE is hoping to have Roman Reigns face The Rock at WrestleMania next year. The latest edition to the proud wrestling heritage of the Anoa’i family is none other than DJ’s own daughter Simone Johnson, who debuted on WWE NXT a few weeks ago as Ava Raine.

Raine made her televised NXT debut last month and aligned herself with the villainous heel stable, The Schism. The stable has been in NXT for a short time but has made an impact. Their latest addition in Ava Raine has only boosted their profile. On the recent episode of NXT, Ava Raine cut a brief promo about her new ‘family’ while taking a shot at her blood relatives.

Dwayne Johnson’s daughter Simone Johnson made her first televised appearance on an episode of NXT last month. Simone has taken the name Ava Raine and is part of The Schism faction on the brand. Joe Gacy leads the group, which also includes former NXT UK Tag Team Champions Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler.

This week on NXT, the group came out and sat in the ring in a segment geared toward the Thanksgiving holiday. Ava Raine took the opportunity to drop a very cold promo and threw shade at her family. The fourth-generation star mentioned how her new ‘family’ The Schism is more reliable than actual blood relatives.

She said, “Every year stories are told of families being torn apart by thanksgiving. Despite the American tradition of quality times shared with loved ones, dysfunction remains the norm. Blood relatives cannot guarantee a united family, but The Schism can be counted on.” After delivering this promo, Raine even got a ‘fan’ to join them at the table in the ring, only to end up slammed through the table by Joe Gacy.

As Raine’s promo surfaced on social media, fans reacted to her throwing shade at her own family as well as The Bloodline.

Ava Raine seems to have inherited her legendary father’s skills on the mic as she delivered quite the promo on NXT about family. Even though she spoke only for some time, her delivery was effective and calculated.

Fans on social media began sharing their views on Raine’s promo and even called for The Bloodline to take notice.

Fans also called for the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns to step in.

Right now, it is difficult to fathom that The Bloodline or Reigns himself will show up to confront Raine and her stable mates. However, this could possibly sow the seeds of a clash down the line between two factions, or even Raine joining The Bloodline in a twist.
