Trish Stratus Details How Canada as a Country Felt on Sami Zayn’s Loss to Roman Reigns – “That’s What Happened”

The match at Elimination Chamber between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns was an emotional rollercoaster. The Great Liberator was the fan favorite, heading into the fight for all Canadians. Moreover, the event was held in Montreal, Canada. Therefore, Zayn got the loudest cheers in his entire career from fans in his hometown. However, all that was not sufficient to put down the Universal Champion of WWE. Recently, a fellow Canadian wrestler explained how the entire country responded to the underdog’s brave attempt.

Trish Stratus spoke on behalf of all Canadians, about Sami Zayn’s loss

In a recent interview with ‘Pro Wrestling Bits’, Trish Stratus spoke about the Elimination Chamber match on Feb 18, 2023. In the most unfortunate turn of events, Sami Zayn lost against his archrival, Roman Reigns. Despite the crowds’ echoing cheers, Zayn couldn’t bring it out of him to put down the universal champion of WWE. According to Stratus, the result utterly displeased her fellow countrymen.

Stratus said, “My whole country sighed.” And added, “That’s what happened. We all sighed together.”

The moment Roman Reigns pinned a helpless Zayn, the crowd in the stadium put their feelings on display. According to Stratus, fellow WWE enthusiasts across Canada responded the same way.

The WWE superstar will be uniting with Becky Lynch and Lita to take on Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39. In this recent interview, Stratus expressed a candid interaction with Mr.Wrestling, Kevin Owens, backstage after their Elimination chamber disappointment.

Kevin Owens has a special bond with Sami Zayn

Stratus said. “It was such an exciting, invested moment. I remember when I saw him (backstage), it was a joke where I said ‘oh my god. Congrats, man, on everything. And Kevin Owens was beside him and he goes ‘you know he lost, right?’ I said ‘yeah’ (laughs).” She added, “The moment was so special, knowing Kevin Owens and [Sami] came up together just being Montreal boys. And knowing where they are in this business and having Sami have his moment? Amazing, how special.”

Therefore, Stratus described the amazing journey of the two countrymen to get to the top of WWE.
