LA Knight is unquestionably one of the most must-see stars in WWE at present. Although it took time for Knight to make good in his wrestling career, fans recognized his potential right from the gate. One of the main reasons behind Knight’s popularity is his charisma and exceptional mic skills.

That said, the 40-year-old star has almost reached immense popularity mirroring some of the stars of the yesteryears. In addition, LA Knight earned a prestigious spot recently when his current rival, The Miz, mimicked him in a manner reminiscent of how he imitated The Rock and John Cena years ago.

The go-home edition of RAW before Payback saw The Miz make his entrance to LA Knight’s music. Not only that, the “A-Lister” was dressed exactly like a Knight. The Miz conspicuously tricked the entire crowd with his disguise. Aside from mimicking LA Knight’s appearance, The Miz parodied the way Knight cuts his promos.

In the same vein, The Miz imitated The Rock in 2011 in the lead-up to his WrestleMania match against John Cena. At the time, John Cena and Dwayne Johnson were embroiled in a rivalry. Capitalizing on John Cena’s heat with The Rock, The Miz made his way to the ring, wearing a “Just Bring It” t-shirt and a bald cap. The Miz then went on to assault John Cena, gaining momentum for WrestleMania.

In 2017, The former WWE Champion did a satirical impersonation of John Cena. However, this time, The Miz worked in tandem with his wife, Maryse, who impersonated John Cena’s then-girlfriend, Nikki Bella. The duo made their way to the ring and mocked Cena and Bella’s chemistry.

Finally, the pattern continued as LA Knight was ridiculed on RAW. However, in a way, The Miz’s innocuous impersonation does more good than harm for LA Knight’s career. Given that The Miz has only gone this far to mimic The Rock and Cena, his impersonation of Knight puts him alongside those icons.

The duo is set to collide at the upcoming premium live event, Payback at PPG Paints Arena. Their rivalry started when The Miz grew jealous of LA Knight’s Slim Jim Battle Royal win at SummerSlam. Shifting gears, LA Knight recently called out The Miz for playing an unimportant role during the rivalry between The Rock and John Cena.

During last week’s edition of SmackDown, LA Knight cut a scathing promo on The Miz’s involvement in the rivalry between Dwayne Johnson and John Cena.

Knight called The Miz a “background story” for the two wrestling legends’ feud, implying that his role was insignificant. He said, “Even when you talk about your championship reigns from 12 years ago and good for you, you were background to the story about The Rock and John Cena.”

Furthermore, the insults continued, as Knight recalled The Miz’s stunt double, Damien Sandow, being more popular than him. At this point, the duo is feuding tooth and nail. We will have to wait and see what happens at Payback.
