To which he replied, “The Rock, Roman, and Drew? I feel like I might be the third man, the third wheel in that one. I’ll just win the titles, and then they do their own thing. That’s a big enough match without the titles. I don’t want to muddy their story. I’ll just take the titles over here so the titles can be defended every week. (39:43-40:00)”

Given the notoriety of both superstars, McIntyre remarked in jest that the bout alone would be a major event rather than needing to be a championship contest.

Additionally, he may have hinted that in the future McIntyre may win both belts as neither The Rock nor Reigns will regularly defend them if they hold them. However, it will be interesting to see how things go in the future.

Is Dwayne Johnson really making a comeback to WWE?

The Rock entered the Hollywood industry after quitting the WWE, and the rest is history. As an actor, he quickly established himself as the top name in action films. But because of his history in wrestling, he never misses an opportunity to make a WWE comeback.

Similar to this, he will probably make his comeback to the ring in the first quarter of 2023, given that he reportedly has a light schedule and is not engaged in any significant ventures. So WWE fans can hope that he will return to the ring and raise eyebrows while doing his signature moves.
