The Undertaker is one of the scariest wrestlers in all of WWE. His debut entrance was enough to bring chills to little kids waiting for Hulk Hogan to show up around the world. But who would have thought that Mark Calaway (The Undertaker’s real name) would be so affectionate towards dogs?

Throughout the years, ‘The Deadman’ has shown many sides of himself and his character; sometimes being the ‘American Badass’ or the leader of ‘The Ministry of Darkness’. But never have we seen The Undertaker indulge in a storyline with the most loyal four-legged creature.

The Undertaker’s ‘The Zeus Compton Calaway Save the Animals fund’

The WWE icon has started a philanthropic fund for a large breed of dogs called the ‘Zeus Compton Calaway-Save the Animals fund’. Started by him, the fund provides financial aid to people who can’t afford their pet’s medical bills.

He started this fund when The Undertaker’s dog, Zeus, died and ‘The Phenom’ had to lay his dog to rest a few years back. After that incident, The Undertaker started this fund in the honor of his deceased dog. Not only has this been a massive success with The Undertaker’s fame, but is also renowned in pop culture.

Once in the ’90s, The Undertaker was in a photo shoot with a few dogs and those photos still hold as one of the few instances when Mark Calloway has whole-heartedly laughed in his Undertaker getup.

Why is The Undertaker Called the Deadman?

In a segment where The Big Show and The American Badass were feuding, in which Show called Taker out for his retirement announcement. Later, on an episode of SmackDown, ‘The World’s Largest Athlete’ brought two crates labeled as presents for ‘The Deadman’. When he opened the first one, what he found made everyone in the audience ”aww” in delight.

He found a cute little puppy who ‘The Deadman’ was very happy to lift for the public to see. Dogs are adorable creatures, especially in the infant state, when they are just little pups. While The Big Show might have gifted The Undertaker the cutest present, Big Show would later be defeated at WrestleMania 19 along with A-Train, Matt Bloom in the current generation.
