While Moss was elated after his win, fans on Twitter certainly didn’t seem so excited about the result. This new push for Madcap caught many fans off guard, as many of them were expecting the former US champion to win. Nevertheless, Moss was as happy as a sandboy to have won the prestigious trophy.

Madcap Moss wins The André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Moss outlasted the likes of Finn Balor, Dolph Ziggler, Shanky, Jinder Mahal, Apollo Crews, Damien Priest, and a few other WWE superstars to lift the André the Giant Memorial Trophy. He attempted to toss Ziggler, Roode, and Balor in one move, but ‘The Prince’ survived before eventually going over the top rope.

After the victory, Moss made one of his trademark unfunny jokes to the Dallas crowd; it ended with ‘Cattle Royal’. Moreover, as Madcap has finally started getting rewarded for proving his worth all these years, this boost could lead to much bigger stardom.

The Fans are not so thrilled with the match

WWE tweeted about Madcap Moss’ Battle Royal win on Friday Night SmackDown. Soon after the match, fans took the opportunity to express their dissatisfaction with the booking.

Mainly, most of them were rooting for Finn Balor over Moss.

One fan wrote, “Over Balor Priest Ziggler and Ciampa. LMAOOO this really is a jobber Battle Royal”

Another one said, “we want finn bálor not this flop“.

Furthermore, the WWE fans expressed their disagreement over the storyline and WWE pushing Moss over other superstars in the ring.

“Poor Balor and Priest…Can’t get on the Mania card and were put in a battle royale that went less than 10 min”, “I really didn’t care if Finn had lost but why ya’ll are making these mid card champions lose so much”, and “This is April fools day cause this is a joke joke JOKE!!” were some among the top comments.
