He said, ” I am riding in the car with Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli) we are booking the territory as we do. And I’ve got these ideas and I am running them by and he’s got his ideas, and we are trying to come up with some stuff, and it seemed like a good idea.

Rollins further continued, “But I had to find like the right time to put the ball in somebody’s ear. And it really happened after Royal Rumble that year where I had a very good match with Brock Lesnar and John Cena. And was hoping to catapult this myself.”

Despite pitching this idea, Rollins himself was not aware of the final execution until the very moment. He revealed, “And now it was very secretive and I didn’t know about the final until like the day up. I had my match with Randy earlier in the afternoon, and I didn’t know what we were going to do until after that match. So, I really didn’t know anything until midway through the show that night.”
