27-Year-Old Superstar Gives Heartfelt Apology to the WWE Universe After Making a Grave Mistake

Professional wrestlers live two lives, i.e. their on-screen character and how they are in real life. Sometimes their opinions or actions outside the ring lands them in trouble personally and professionally as well. Recently, a WWE star made a heartfelt apology for making a mistake and several people weren’t a fan of her actions.

NXT superstar Valentina Feroz, whose real name is Rita Reis, recently reacted to a transphobic video on social media. The Instagram post was of a Brazilian politician saying, “men who want to be women are taking the place of real women.” 

A Twitter user shared the reply Feroz gave when the user’s fan confronted her on Instagram.

The 27-year-old NXT star replied, “Sorry, I think you misunderstood. I already explained to you I have no prejudice with anyone. Everyone has a free will to do what they want.”

She added, “Now I don’t like that you go there and share a photo and keep saying a lot of things. I have more to do. I don’t want to be rude, I won’t talk about it anymore. You can say whatever you want. I won’t answer you anymore. The best thing is silence.”

After saying this, Feroz unliked the post on Instagram. Moreover, as per the Twitter user, she also blocked her friend after replying. Nevertheless, that wasn’t the end of the matter as the NXT star apologized on Twitter.

Valentina later wrote a heartfelt apology on Twitter

Shortly after the news and pictures of her chats went viral, Feroz took to Twitter and posted a heartfelt apology to the WWE universe. The NXT star wrote, “I am here to apologize for what happened on my Instagram. I support and protect trans rights. 🏳️‍⚧️ I support respect, love and peace. Love always overcomes hate and prejudice.”

The fans filled the comments section with their reviews about her apology. The fans were split over her reply on Instagram.

Rita Reis joined WWE back in 2019 at the age of 23. Her untelevised debut came in the same year in December at a house show. She kept on wrestling on house shows till mid-2020 until her televised NXT debut came calling. However, she is very much active on social media, liking the posts of main roster stars and WWE legends.

She made her television debut in a Number One Contender Battle Royal in September 2020, which was won by Candice LeRae. Furthermore, three months later, she made her debut as Valentina Feroz in December. Her most recent TV match happened on February 14, when she lost to Ivy Nile on an episode of NXT Level Up.

Moreover, Feroz was in action on Saturday night at the NXT house show in St. Petersburg, FL, where she and Dani Palmer lost to Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. What did you make of Feroz’s apology? Let us know in the comments below.
