“Don’t Be A P***y”: Ronda Rousey Shared a Brutally Gore Moment on the Set of 9-1-1

Ronda Rousey is one of the toughest women in the entire world. She gained this fierce reputation, not just from wrestling, though. Her profile is filled with gruesome matches in the Octagon and training relentlessly for the Olympics. She has shown her mettle time and time again and also avoids injuries at every point.

But who would have thought that a movie set would cause Ronda Rousey one of her grossest injuries? Starring in season 3 episode 3 of the first-responder TV 9-1-1. The series featured Rousey after her stint at WrestleMania 35 and she had plans to go on vacation with her husband, Travis Browne. However, the opportunity came to her door, and she became a part of the cast.

Ronda Rousey narrates the story of her almost-severed finger

In a video on her YouTube channel, Rousey revealed, “The boat door slammed down, and I thought I just jammed my nail. You know how people usually jam their fingers and it bruises their nail. Then I was thinking like, Ouch, fu**. And then don’t be a pu***. Just finish the scene. So I finished the scene, and I had all these lines and I’m throwing things off of the boat. Then I looked down, and I was like Oh!

I remember like turning towards the director and being like, ‘You guys aren’t gonna like this but my finger is no longer attached to my finger.’ I looked down and my finger was barely hanging on… I remember just looking down and, oh, I lost a finger. So I had to get rushed to a hospital via an ambulance.

She went on in the video about the injury, first showing a video of her and her husband in the hospital with a severed finger. Coincidentally, her doctor treating her was also an MMA fighter before. She detailed the injury that the door detached the bone severely as well as the tendon. The bigger story out of this should be that instead of being in surgery the day before, Rousey got up and went to the set and finished all her scenes.
