Brock Lesnar stormed the world of MMA after making his UFC debut. The Beast who made a name for himself in WWE soon conquered the UFC by winning the heavyweight championship. Lesnar had just come back after a year and submitted Carwin in the second round of their unification title match. At the event, the likes of Stone Cold Steve, Austin, Jim Ross, and Goldberg were present and spoke to the media about Lesnar’s win.

Paul Heyman was among those in attendance from the world of pro wrestling and spoke about his on-screen WWE client’s UFC title win.

Heyman on Brock Lesnar beating Carwin

Brock Lesnar overcame Shane Carwin in a hard-hitting bout. After the match, journalist Ariel Helwani caught up with the WWE personalities in attendance and asked for their comments.

Stone Cold Steve Austin said, “Brock’s my guy. He showed so much heart in this fight, making it through that first round and weathering the storm… I knew once he took Shane on the ground he wouldn’t have let him back up…. I’m very very proud of Brock.”

His former in-ring Goldberg also praised Brock and said he was proud of him. He said it was a miracle he was competing after all the injuries and at the top level.

Former WWE commentator, Jim Ross, also gave his opinion on ‘The Conqueror’s triumph. He said, “I don’t know if any other heavyweight in MMA would have endured the first round against Shane Carwin other than Brock Lesnar. So I am pretty proud of Brock.”

Understandably, his friends from pro wrestling were happy about his big win in MMA. Paul Heyman, who managed Lesnar on-screen in WWE, shared what this win meant to his friends and wrestling.

Heyman said, “I think it means a lot to his friends and wrestling fraternity. I think they need to get their sh*t together on their own. If they want to ride Brock Lesnar’s coat tails, then they need to get their own house in order. Because Brock Lesnar has got his house in order.”

While it seems Heyman understood what a win for a pro wrestler in UFC meant for the business, he was also adamant that Lesnar was his own entity and WWE shouldn’t rely on his success in the octagon to promote their product.
