WWE’s global influence has produced a number of global superstars. Superstars like Dwayne Johnson and John Cena succeeded in establishing themselves in the entertainment industry. Likewise, Dave Bautista is another perfect example of someone who achieved huge success in Hollywood. Bautista has risen to fame in Hollywood as well, with his role as ‘Drax’ in Marvel movie franchise.
In addition, in the 2017 action-packed movie series ‘Escape Plan,’ the Guardians of the Galaxy actor replaced Schwarzenegger. In the original Escape Plan, Sylvester Stallone and Schwarzenegger once more worked together. The Animal, however, filled Schwarzenegger’s absence in the next movie.
Bautista discusses his thoughts about replacing Arnold Schwarzenegger
Speaking about the second installment of Escape Plan, actor Dave Bautista told Screen Rant during the press junket for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 in 2017 that it will be “completely different” from the first movie.

‘So there’s a completely different chemistry between Ray Breslin and myself, my character, and a good chemistry. I mesh well with Sly. [H/T: Screen Rant]“
Although Bautista is certainly well-known in Hollywood and has earned his place there. However, considering the movie he was in and his history, replacing Schwarzenegger would undoubtedly have been difficult.
