Vince McMahon shocked the WCW fans when he made an appearance on the March 26, 2001, Nitro telecast. McMahon’s unexpected visit surprised every one because of his intense loathing of the corporation. Audience attention was sparked by the background, which said RAW is WAR rather than Nitro.

He mentioned during his segment that he had purchased WCW and that the company’s future now lay in his skilled hands.
