Back in 2012, WWE saw a great feud between Chris Jericho and CM Punk. In their pursuit to determine who is truly the best in the world,” the duo had a match at Wrestlemania 28. Although Punk won and retained his WWE title, Jericho was far from being done with Punk.

The future founder of the “Little Bit of The Bubbly” brought out CM Punk’s skeletons from the closet on the following night. Not only he tried to make Punk an alcoholic but also, he thrashed CM Punk’s family.

CM Punk is known and respected for his no addiction ‘straight-edge lifestyle.’ He even berated Jeff Hardy for his alcoholic past in a previous feud. With Jericho, it seemed Karma was out to get Punk.

On the April 2, 2012 episode of Raw (the night after WrestleMania 28), CM Punk faced Mark Henry. Mark Henry defeated Punk via count-out.

Following the loss, Jericho came out of the crowd for a promo and said that he and Punk deserved to celebrate their classic WrestleMania 28 match with a drink. He proceeded to the ring with a whiskey bottle and continued speaking about Punk’s alcoholic father.

Chris Jericho attacked CM Punk verbally and physically

Jericho lost a lot of momentum when he lost to Punk at WrestleMania 28. However, he instantly regained it by viciously attacking Punk and ripping his family and beliefs.

As Punk lay on the ground, Jericho told Punk that he promised him that he would be why Punk took his first drink. Jericho poured the bottle of liquor all over Punk. “Drink it up! Drink it up,” Jericho screamed as a toast to their WrestleMania match and Punk’s father.

Jericho threw in a few kicks and punches. He kept talking about how Punk’s father is an alcoholic; his sister is a drug abuser, and his mother is a combination of the two.
