In his early days, Mark Calaway was a phenomenal basketball player before all the reputation he earned in WWE. A basketball scout from Europe gave him the chance to play in France after noticing his talent.
It is obvious that he had significant talent in basketball, as this chance does not come up very often. Meanwhile, the recently resurfaced video shows off his wife’s basketball abilities. It even took aback the Undertaker when he saw her skills.

In the video, McCool dribbled the ball before performing a wall flip to attempt the basket, which she achieved successfully. The fact that the acts she displayed were unquestionably difficult to execute clearly shows her athletic capability.
How The Undertaker transitioned from basketball to professional wrestling
Taker was a basketball prodigy before he became a legendary WWE superstar. In an interview with Kevin Hart, he inquired about Taker’s professional wrestling debut. To that, The Deadman disclosed that he first intended to become a basketball player before switching to professional wrestling.

He stated, “I was in college and at that time, I was a basketball player. My coach starts getting some inquiries from European Teams, and Pro Teams. You know, at 21, being the last guy at the end of the bench in Lithuania doesn’t sound real appealing to a 21-year-old. So, I’m meeting this guy, Jim. I’m going to wrestling camp to become a professional wrestler. Man, you gotta go to this camp with me.”
“One thing I’m noticing is the guys that are my size are huge guys, but they don’t move real well. So I started thinking. At the time, I was really athletic. So I kinda start weighing things out and going to meet this guy that’s gonna train. We go and sit down, and he sold me. [3:39-4:30]”

A world without The Undertaker in professional wrestling is impossible to imagine. Nevertheless, if he had chosen to play basketball, he undoubtedly would have been successful there as well.
