The former WWE chairperson Vince McMahon recently celebrated his 77th birthday at the Waverly Inn restaurant in New York. Many prominent names such as John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Pat McAfee attended the birthday party. However, one WWE legend was notably absent, and he has let his feelings known.
McMahon was seen making his first public appearance post retirement while 16-time WWE Champion Cena was accompanied at the party by his wife Shay Shariatzadeh.

After leaving the restaurant, McMahon didn’t speak to the paparazzi outside and went straight to his vehicle. Now, pro wrestling legend and former WWE Champion Ric Flair has complained that why he wasn’t a part of the celebrations.
Flair says he is McMahon’s biggest fan
The ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair recently said that he is McMahon’s biggest fan and should’ve been at his birthday party.
Talking about the former WWE CEO on his ‘To Be The Man’ podcast, Flair joked “Why wasn’t I invited to his birthday party? What in the hell [laughs]. I don’t think he thinks I can be – what’s the word I use with him – I’ll be discreet. I should have been at that party though. Damn it, come on. I’m his biggest fan, even though he doesn’t like John [Cena] to be around me.” [50:42 to 51:20].
The 16-time world champion has long admired McMahon and has immense respect for him saying, “I don’t care what everybody thinks, he made us. I have nothing but respect for him.”
The two-time Hall of Famer previously praised McMahon for helping him out during his tough times. He had also expressed unhappiness about McMahon’s retirement. Like many other wrestlers, Flair enjoys a personal connection with the former WWE boss and will always admire one of the greatest promoters of all time.
Flair personally thanked Vince McMahon
After a Dark Side of the Ring episode which showcased Flair in a bad light, WWE removed him from the intros of RAW and SmackDown.
However, Flair went to meet McMahon following which they added him back to the intro sequence, for which he thanked the former chairperson of WWE.
