Ever since the start of his Hollywood run, Dwayne Johnson has played some larger-than-life characters on screen. His portrayals have enthralled cine goers around the world, including the WWE Universe. After the August 22 episode of NXT, fans have called out Johnson to become a superhero in real life. The reactions from the faithful were a direct result of what had transpired on the said episode, which concerns his daughter, Ava, and her safety.

The 22-year-old was kidnapped following her debut singles televised match, resulting in fans calling out The Rock. But before getting to the reactions, let’s find out what happened in the match.

After months of going back and forth, Diamond Mine’s Ivy Nile and Schism’s Ava finally went toe-to-toe inside the squared circle. It was a momentous occasion for Johnson’s daughter, who was taking part in her first singles televised match. A few days ago, Ava had managed to win against the 31-year-old in a singles match at a live event.

But she failed to emulate the result. While the 22-year-old started strong, facilitated by her opponent getting distracted by The Schism, Ava failed to capitalize. She slammed Nile multiple times, before the latter managed to retaliate.

Showing an improvement from her previous encounters, the Anoa’i family member hit The Pitbull with a scorpion kick, breaking the attack on her. But Nile hit back with a dragon sleeper hold and won the bout via submission.

Seeing Nile not letting go of the hold, several people in yellow masks ran to Ava’s help, but were taken out by the Diamond Mine member. Ava was eventually helped by two masked men, who dragged her out of the ring.

Backstage, Ava cut a promo on Nile, trashing her talent. However, the 31-year-old appeared during the segment, cutting Johnson’s daughter short. The two masked men were also there. Seeing Nile alone, Ava ordered the men to get her, but they revealed themselves as Brutus Creed and Julius Creed.

After taking out Ava, the brothers left a message for The Schism. They asked for a cage match against The Dyad, also members of The Schism. On the July 4 episode of the white and gold brand, the brothers lost a ‘Loser Leaves NXT’ match against Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid of The Dyad.

This time, they want a match with no distractions and outside interferences and reinstatement in NXT, following their win. The attack on Ava proved the brothers’ ruthlessness. Meanwhile, it also provided a reason for fans to summon Dwayne Johnson

Fans seek The Rock’s involvement as daughter gets attacked

The WWE Universe, especially the NXT fans, aren’t new to a kidnapping plot. It has been used several times over the years. In fact, Ava herself was involved in kidnapping Chase U’s Thea Hail earlier this year.

But it is a different scenario when the victim is Dwayne Johnson’s daughter. The WWE legend has a reputation for bashing up bad guys and solving problems, both in his movies and as a face during his time in the promotion. Fans now want him to reprise that role.

This user had a query about papa Johnson’s whereabouts: “Where’s THE ROCK when you need em.”

Another user poked fun at Johnson’s busy career by stating, “Ava gets kidnapped in live TV and fans are cheering meanwhile the Rock is busy filming elsewhere 🤣 to notice his daughter got kidnapped in NXT 🤣.”

A third commented on The Brahma Bull’s lack of involvement in The Bloodline saga, which has been the driving force on SmackDown for months: “Rock wouldn’t step in to save the Bloodline. will he help his now kidnapped daughter?” It must be told that a close friend of Johnson has recently explained why the 51-year-old hasn’t acknowledge The Bloodline online. But will the wrestler-turned-actor make an exception for his daughter?

This fan pointed out the obvious: “Literally messing with the Rocks daughter lol.”

And another sounded hopeful: “The Rock in NXT next week ,😅.” While this is wishful thinking, recent developments have hinted that Dwayne Johnson is unlikely to return to the WWE or its programming at the moment. So, Ava is likely on her own.
