She also held the title of Raw Women’s Championship. But she was never a WWE NXT champion. However, a star confused Lynch’s achievements and botched her own promo on WWE NXT.

Tiffany Stratton, the reigning NXT Women’s Champion, found herself inadvertently in the spotlight this week for reasons other than her wrestling prowess. During a promo segment on the special “Heatwave” episode of NXT television, Stratton dropped a name that didn’t quite belong–Becky Lynch. What followed was a chorus of online mockery.

Stratton, who wasn’t slated to compete on this particular episode due to a lack of top contenders for her title, was given the mic to address the crowd. Little did she know that her mention of Becky Lynch, a former WWE superstar, as an ex-NXT Women’s Champion will trigger a cascade of humor-laden comments.

Lynch’s reply to Stratton

Lynch, herself a RAW superstar, wasn’t one to let the moment pass without a response. With a dash of humor, she took to the internet to clarify that, indeed, she hadn’t held the NXT Women’s Championship.

It was a lighthearted way to set the record straight while engaging with fans and the wrestling community at large. Later in the same broadcast, Stratton confronted her unintentional blunder. She brushed off the slip and, in an ironic twist, shared her belief that Lynch was irrelevant anyway. Such is the ebb and flow of the wrestling world–where moments of seriousness and moments of jest often intertwine.
