Will the Recent Arrest Affect Liv Morgan’s Opportunities in WWE?

Liv Morgan is currently in rehabilitation for her shoulder injury that she suffered on the episode of RAW on May 19th. Due to the injury, she had to vacate the WWE Women’s tag team titles that she held with Raquel Rodriguez. However, with the news of her recent arrest, it seems that Morgan may have been under hot water with the promotion itself.

However, renowned wrestling journalist Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has provided an update on her work status with a picture of her on X.

Sean Ross posted on December 16th on X with the caption, “Fightful Select is told there is “absolutely no heat” on Liv Morgan in WWE following an arrest for marijuana possession.” Though, Morgan has breached multiple laws during her recent offence, Sean Ross states that WWE management has no issues with it. 

Morgan’s recent arrest is problematic for WWE and Liv Morgan in many ways. The primary cause of her arrest was over-speeding and erratic driving. Another issue was with her substance abuse when she was caught DUI.

Her two offences may be meagre in the eyes of the law, but it may be problematic for her and WWE as she represents the company. Since WWE use their superstars as an asset for Marketing and PR, performers need to maintain credibility and authenticity.

WWE has a strict policy on the consumption of drugs that has been in place since 1991. While Marijuana does not fall under the category of steroids, it is an illegal substance in many states. Hence, Morgan’s recent arrest brings ill repute to her.

The update was provided after Liv Morgan got arrested for the possession of Marijuana (less than 20 grams) and some synthetic cannabinoids.

Cannabis, Vape, and $3,000 fine to make Liv Morgan’s day a mess

As per the local news, Gionna Daddio, 29, was caught for driving erratically her Yellow Jeep at 6:30 PM, as noticed by the sheriff. When the sheriff approached her, an odor of Marijuana was detected. Then a small pack of Marijuana was found in a small pink fuzzy bag in her vehicle. A vape pen containing oil-like substance was also found at the console.

Daddio was immediately arrested for possesion of synthetic cannabinoid, possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment. She was under detention by Sumter County and released after posting $3,000 bond.
