Johnson’s last Hollywood project was DCU’s ‘Black Adam’. Despite the fanbase’s excitement, the film did not do well at the box office, nor was it considered a good film by the critics. That did not stop The Rock from moving ahead with full force. Turns out, ‘Seven Bucks Productions’ are partnering up with some more production houses to bring a movie exclusively to Amazon Prime Video.

Johnson will serve as the lead of the movie ‘Red One’, coming out during the Holiday season of 2023.

The movie is reported to be a Christmas-themed action-comedy. And according to the sources, Johnson is receiving $50 Million for the upcoming project. While Tom Cruise, the highest-paid Hollywood actor, takes around $30 Million for a movie, The Rock will withdraw much more than him for this one project which is the biggest payday an actor has ever received for a single role.

This is also a much bigger amount than the usual $20-$25 Million that Johnson gets per movie.
