We are just days away from WrestleMania XL and the excitement is at an all-time high. One of the biggest matches of the year will be happening on Night 2, where Roman Reigns will be defending his title against Cody Rhodes. Depending on how the Night 1 match between Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns & Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson goes, the Night 2 match might be a piece of cake for Rhodes or his worst nightmare. According to the wager proposed by The Rock, if he and Reigns win the tag team match on Night 1, the main event match on Night 2 would be an Anything Goes match.

It means that the Bloodline could do anything during the fight and no one will be disqualified. This does give some leverage to our heroes as well. If we consider the second possibility, here are four WWE superstars who might come to save Cody Rhodes from the hands of the Tribal Chief.

Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes share a “legacy” and it would be a poetic way to end the current story revolving around the former AEW star. For those who are unaware, Rhodes was in a wrestling stable, along with Orton and Ted DiBiase Jr. called The Legacy. Orton acted as the two stars’ mentor and things ended up falling apart from a kayfabe perspective.

The Viper defeating Reigns just to help Rhodes win might promote him to a status where he is on the roster as a mentor might do the trick for him. Apart from that, seeing his very first mentee achieve his dream will be an emotional moment. After all, WrestleMania XL is all about emotions this year.

A ghost from Roman Reigns’ past could resurface

Roman Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and it means that no one has pinned and won against him in almost four years. However, there was someone who pinned him and grasped the taste of victory against him last year. At the 2023 Money in the Bank, Jey Uso pinned The Tribal Chief during the fabled Bloodline Civil War. While The Usos have now split up, Main Event Uso has still a score to settle with the Bloodline.

Uso still has to settle the score for all the disrespect he endured during his time in the Bloodline. Apart from that, he might want to end the Bloodline once and for all for all the damage they have been causing to everyone. Uso had teamed up with Rhodes in the past in an experimental tag team match against Finn Balor and Damian Priest at the 2023 Fastlane and was able to deliver. It would be interesting to see if that happens once again. Jey Uso is scheduled to go up against his brother at the Show of Shows. However, his involvement need not end there.

Everyone’s favorite duo

While they might not be getting much time on the screen together, fans do miss seeing Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn form a union in the ring once again. The former tag team champions ended up splitting after Owens was drafted to SmackDown and Zayn stayed the course in Raw. Since Owens’ departure, the former Bloodline member has been on good terms with Rhodes and both have helped each other whenever needed. Considering his history with the Bloodline, Zayn might want to step in to help the 2024 Royal Rumble winner during the fight.

However, he might get overpowered by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. At this time, Owens, who might be already present in the arena after his match against Logan Paul, might intervene to help both Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes. The SmackDown star who had suffered disrespect at the hands of the stable might want to exact his revenge just like others.

Honorable Mention

It would be an interesting twist from WWE’s end to throw Drew McIntyre into the mix. While he is busy taunting CM Punk for his injuries, he still has some morals left with him. The Scottish Psychopath is indeed a heel currently, but let’s not forget the fact that he has always blamed Sikoa for interrupting his shot at clinching title glory. The Bloodline is the reason why he turned heel. And now that he is a heel, he is not following any rules.

He might attack Solo Sikoa or Jimmy Uso. Unintentionally or intentionally, he could help the former AEW star pin Reigns to secure the win. Despite being a heel, the Scotsman has shown respect for Rhodes. Also, if WWE does this, it would add an interesting layer to McIntyre’s story, making him an anti-hero instead of a heel or a face. Did we forget anyone? Who do you think will come to save Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL? Will the Bloodline fall this year? Let us know in the comments below.
