The entire WWE fanbase was taken aback when Vince McMahon unexpectedly announced his retirement from the company he has been in charge of for more than 40 years. No one can deny that The Big Man, despite his controversial tenure with the WWE, used his brilliant wrestling mind to build the biggest wrestling organization in the world. Not only did he build his business, but he also popularised pro wrestling internationally.

He recently stepped down from his position as CEO of the company, and his daughter Stephanie McMahon took over. Meanwhile, Mr. McMahon announced his retirement through a tweet. Given his contributions to WWE, the announcement wasn’t very spectacular; rather, he made it in an understated manner.

Notably, he included the WWE tagline, “Then, Now, Together, Forever,” to thank the WWE supporters and let them know he was always on their side. The announcement has also caused quite a stir in the WWE community and is presently the most talked-about subject.
