There is no perfect way to stay healthy and fit. It can be the gym, running in the park, or anything else that involves moving the muscles. Now, for WWE Megastar John Cena, it’s not just hitting the iron or cardio, but also yoga.

Usually, when someone begins a new routine to stay healthy, there’s a motivation behind that. For Cena, he started doing yoga when he was working on a movie alongside Jackie Chan.

It wasn’t the most thrilling experience for him at the beginning. He battled some issues considering yoga is much different than lifting heavy weights. However, over time he realized that yoga truly helped his body in ways that the heavy weights never could.

“I went over there to train with him for about three months and they stretched me like taffy, I immediately lost 20 pounds, which was very difficult for me. I even fell into a weird depression because it was like I’m losing everything that I worked on for 30 years! But I begin to walk taller, begin to have less pain, I was more flexible, and that experience changed my life in many ways, and it taught me the value of making sure your body moves okay.” H/t GQ

In fact, it seems like he found a way to increase his size by lifting weights but also found the remedy to get rid of the soreness afterwards, yoga.
