Stone Cold Steve Austin sent shock waves around the wrestling world with his groundbreaking news. He announced his return to WWE will take place in a segment with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38. His latest promo indicates that there might even be a match or at least a brawl.

Since the news broke, fans and wrestlers alike have reacted to the return of Austin. One of them is the legendary John Cena.

Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestled his last match at WrestleMania 19 against Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Austin lost that match and retired from in-ring action because of multiple injuries. With his neck being in horrible condition and his knees always being a problem, Stone Cold had to step away from wrestling at the peak of his career.

Steve Austin has come forward many times to say that he did not want to retire so early. His fans have always agreed with him as he had the potential to become even a bigger star than he already is. However, that is not how it turned out. Moreover, Austin was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame post his retirement.

The Hall of Famer clearly loved pro-wrestling and the WWE as he kept on appearing on WWE programming in different capacities. Austin made appearances on WWE TV throughout the years on special occasions and now has his own show on the network.

However, Steve Austin did deliver a stunner to John Cena back in 2003 at the WWE Tribute to the Troops event. While Austin has hinted that his WrestleMania 38 appearance will be his last in-ring brawl, fans still dream to see Cena and Austin face each other.
