WWE Legend Signs New Contract, Returns to Raw After Two Long Years

The recent episode of Monday Night Raw featured WWE Legend Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler. ‘The King’ has been one of the top commentators in the wrestling business. As per the reports, Lawler has signed a new deal with WWE. For now, there is no confirmation of his contract, but fans will soon see him back.
In the latest episode of Monday Night Raw from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, he met the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H. However, she turned her back on him and left the scene.

Jerry Lawler started his WWE run in 1992. Before being a commentator, he used to be a wrestler in different wrestling federations. Also, he competed in a handful of matches during his early journey in WWE.
Will Jerry Lawler return to commentary on WWE Raw?
‘The WWE Hall of Famer had a great time in WWE on the commentary desk. Lawler has commentated for many epic matches. However, he featured largely on pre-show panels in recent years.

Jerry Lawler’s current deal would have expired at the end of the year, but he re-signed his contract with WWE. This could be a good sign for the WWE fans, as they will get to see more of him at WWE events, perhaps even a stint as a commentator. A few weeks back, he appeared especially for the Kick-Off of the Survivor Series pay-per-view. His last run as the WWE commentator was from September 2019 to April 2020. Recently, Lawler turned 72 on 29th November.

Besides being a commentator in WWE, he runs his King Jerry Lawler’s Hall of Fame Bar & Grille in Memphis. Hence, his new deal may just be an extension of his previous one, with him appearing at big events or ones like tonight’s event that took place in his hometown.
