WWE Makes a Huge Announcement for an Upcoming Event

WWE confirmed December 6th, 2020 as the date for its special event – Tribute To The Troops. It will happen at the ThunderDome and FOX will air it.
This is the 18th year the wrestling industry giant is hosting this show, with the first edition being in 2003.
WWE designed the show to honor the armed forces for their services. Servicemen and servicewomen from the Military will be present in the arena. This is the first time since the inauguration of the Thunderdome that it will have a live audience.

The regional NFL on FOX airs on the same day. Considering it will air alongside the games from the National Football League, the viewership for the show will be much higher than previous years.
WWE and FOX Sports CEOs release their statements
The CEO and Executive Producer of FOX Sports, Eric Shanks, released a statement conveying his support for the show.
“Supporting the United States military year-round is an essential part of FOX Sports’ mission, and partnering with WWE on their Tribute to the Troops is an incredible extension of this ongoing commitment.”

Vince McMahon, the Chairman and CEO of WWE, released a statement confirming the event.
““This is a unique time and we look forward to providing our troops and their families with an interactive experience that only WWE can deliver as we celebrate our servicemen and women with millions of our fans watching at home on FOX.”
Tribute To The Troops segments
The show features several segments. One segment will be a virtual meet and greet between WWE Superstars and the military members.
Additionally, celebrity guests from across the globe will join the event and WWE will soon announce the guest list.

Last year, Superstars such as Asuka, Drew McIntyre, The Street Profits, and Kevin Owens competed in the Tribute To The Troops. The main event was between Seth Rollins and Erick Rowan.
The 2019 version of the Tribute To The Troops was the first ever to not air on television. Partnering with FOX is a brilliant strategy for bringing it back on air.
