A few hours ago, the former WWE superstar Sasha Banks (now Mercedes Mone) competed in one of her biggest matches outside the WWE. She performed against Mayu Iwatani to defend her IWGP women’s title. On one of the biggest nights of her career, she made sure to convey a wholesome gesture that melted the hearts of wrestling fans worldwide.

On this big day, Banks didn’t forget to pay tribute to the deceased WWE legend who inspired her a lot. And the legend is none other than the late WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero.

Recently, the former WWE superstar Sasha Banks paid tribute to the deceased WWE legend Eddie Guerrero. She made her way to the ring during ‘Stardom All Star Grand Queendom’ wearing Eddie Guerrero’s mask. 

She even posted pictures of her in the costume from her official Twitter handle. While remembering the legend, Mone wrote his famous saying and mentioned that she wouldn’t be here without him.

Eddie Guerrero was one of the most loved WWE superstars. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 35 years because of acute heart failure. During his career in the WWE, Guerrero claimed four different titles. 

Growing up, Mone was a huge fan of Eddie Guerrero. The NJPW star disclosed the turn of events that occurred to her when she learned of the legendary wrestler’s untimely passing.

How did Mone get to know about Eddie Guerrero’s demise?

Sasha Banks was just 13 years old when the WWE legend passed away. She attended the WWE event in which initially Eddie was supposed to perform. But the event turned into a celebration of his career after he passed away.

Mone didn’t know about his demise until she saw fans holding signs of ‘RIP Eddie Guerrero’. At first, she was confused, but then a fan came up to her and conveyed the news to her.
