Moreover, Johnson’s TV sitcom Young Rock’s recent episode portrayed how McMahon sent Johnson to Memphis to enhance and develop his wrestling talent.

The Rock in the caption mentioned, “After my very first match ever, Vince flew me to Stamford to say “you got a lot of potential kid, but you’re not ready for the big leagues of the WWE. I’m sending you to Memphis. Go learn the business. Learn how to work and learn how to talk on the mic.”
The Great One also expressed gratitude to McMahon for his early guidance and for recognizing the potential in that ‘punk kid’ with the ‘bad’ haircut. In Young Rock season 2, Adam Ray played McMahon’s character. During the episode, McMahon flew him to Memphis to learn the ropes and improve his in-ring abilities.
Additionally, The Rock discussed his WWE debut as Rocky Maivia and his magical debut at Madison Square Garden.

Vince McMahon had played a huge role in the success of The Rock’s WWE career and pushed him to become one of the company’s greatest wrestlers of all time. Johnson considered McMahon to be one of his greatest business mentors and a father figure to him.
