NFL Stars Make Surprise Appearance on WWE Raw

Tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw aired from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, where we witnessed multiple shocking moments like Rey Mysterio getting demolished by Lashley and Big E challenging Reigns at Survivor Series. However, the hometown heroes Indianapolis Colts also attended the match amongst the live audience.

Indianapolis Colts defeated Jaguars in dramatic fashion in their last game. After a commercial break, we saw the NFL players from the Indianapolis Colts at ringside.

The connection between WWE and Indianapolis Colts

Imagine telling the WWE Universe in 2010 that an Indianapolis Colts player would be the best commentator in WWE who would not only call the matches but would entertain the live audience with his antics.

Yes, we are talking about SmackDown color commentator, Pat McAfee, who over his eight-year career in the National Football League (NFL), made two Pro Bowls and was an All-Pro in 2014 before retiring in 2017.

The connection between WWE Universe and McAfee is something that we can see every Friday Night whenever the former punter gets on top of the table to vibe with Nakamura’s theme song.

However, McAfee has done more than just calling out matches. He has also gone toe to toe with the former NXT champion, Adam Cole, back when Cole was still with WWE.
