Roman Reigns is the hottest WWE superstar in the company amongst the fans. He recently got pinned at Money in the Bank for the first time in nearly three years. ‘The Tribal Chief’ has already lost two matches this year, making 2023 the year that saw an end to his streak. Surprisingly, one of the current stars remains undefeated in 2023. Given that this is a record that wasn’t very well-known, it’s unclear how WWE will go forward with it.

The WWE superstar is the 28-year-old, NXT North American Champion, Wes Lee. He is currently on a massive winning streak in 2023 alongside having a 200+ days title reign since October last year.

Not Roman Reigns but Wes Lee’s is undefeated in 2023 

Wes Lee made his debut in WWE in January 2021 at the NXT brand. He was in a tag team called MSK with Nash Carter, now known as Zachary Wentz in Impact Wrestling. Although Lee is running alone this time, he has been on a great streak this year.

The 28-year-old has had 79 matches in WWE since his NXT debut so far. Surprisingly, in 2023 he wrestled 22 matches and won all of those. This makes Lee undefeated in 2023, ahead of his match with Dominik Mysterio.

As per Cagematch.com all of his 22 matches came in NXT which are all combinations of live shows and live TV matches. In 2023, Lee wrestled 11 matches on NXT Live Shows and the rest were on NXT weekly episodes and Premium Live Events.

After they disbanded his tag team following Carter’s release last year in April, Lee moved on to the singles competition. He had some feuds for a couple of months before training his eyes on the NXT North American Championship, relinquished by Solo Sikoa when he moved to the main roster.

At NXT Halloween Havoc on October 2022 Lee won the NXT North American Championship, his first singles title in WWE. Additionally, he is also a former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion and the winner of the Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in 2021 with Nash Carter. Now, he is ready to defend his title against Dominik Mysterio this week on NXT.

Will Wes Lee continue his winning streak against Dominik Mysterio?

Last week on July 11th, 2023, an episode of NXT, The Judgement Day made their presence felt.’Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio went the extra mile to challenge Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship, on the July 18th, 2023 episode of NXT.

The match is confirmed and both the WWE superstars will have a match for the title this week on Tuesday. While Dom will eye to win his first singles title in WWE, Lee will try to protect his 2023 streak and 262+ days title reign.
