Cody Rhodes took to the ring after the #1 contenders match for the Tag Team titles. While talking to the fans, he thanked his teammates for clinching victory at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. After thanking them, he moved back to a certain story that started at this year’s WrestleMania. He had a big announcement for the WWE Universe pertaining to his unfinished storyline.

The Rhodes’ unfinished storyline has been a major part of Rhodes’ story since his return to the WWE.

With WWE Survivor Series 2023 in the rearview mirror, the main roster can now focus on the Road to WrestleMania. The second biggest night in the WWE PLE cards always leads to the biggest night, WrestleMania 40 in 2024. Keeping this in mind, Rhodes had an announcement to make to the audience.

While addressing the fans at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, Rhodes hinted that he will be finishing his unfinished storyline. He said, “I’d like to make some news myself.” He went on to give an announcement that blew the roof off the arena.

Rhodes said, “I think at this point you guys truly know me. Which means there’s only one destination for me.” He declared that he will participate in the 2024 Royal Rumble. The winner will get a shot at the WWE Championship and Rhodes aims to do a repeat of last year barring the heartbreaking loss at WrestleMania.
