The seven-year itch still continues. At SummerSlam 2023, Finn Balor failed to defeat Seth Rollins and had his pride all destroyed. After having Rollins almost down, Balor still failed to capitalize on the situation, and it might be all thanks to his Judgement Day partner.

After interference from The Judgment Day, and especially Damien Priest, Balor would lose his concentration, and become much more distracted. As Damien Priest headed toward the ringside, he would hold the MITB briefcase with him becoming the root of all confusion.

With Finn Balor still failing to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, was Damien Priest the one to blame?

Following a similar sequence at Money in The Bank 2023, Damien Priest would again head down toward the ring with his briefcase contract. This would lead to Finn Balor believing that Priest would cash in on them.

However, miscommunications would occur, and Priest’s helping hand would be misunderstood by Balor as a major threat. Priest placed his briefcase inside the ring for Balor to use but Rollins ended up stomping Balor on the briefcase. If the entire sequence of events is noticed, and analyzed, fans will find Damien Priest to be innocent, and not guilty.

Priest had offered his helping hand to Balor, but their clashing egos became a barrier in their communication. The former WWE Universal Champion misunderstood Priest’s actions as he did at MITB 2023, leading to his defeat.

This might not be the end to their story, and with tensions possibly developing between Priest and Balor, it is possible that Balor might ruin Priest’s cash-in attempt leading to their breakup, and eventual feud.

With the seven-year itch still continuing, fans wonder when this dry spell will break.
