From just seven dollars in the bank to a net worth of $800 million, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has had quite a financial turnaround in life. The WWE icon is part of several ventures, which actively contributes to his growing bank balance. One among them is a deal with the UFC.
Johnson has a working deal with the MMA promotion that requires fighters and their team to wear Project Rock shoes. Project Rock is a partnership between the pro-wrestler-turned-actor and Under Armour. Johnson’s UFC deal recently was called out by a 31-year-old UFC fighter for its nature.

While Dwayne Johnson enjoys massive popularity in general but the same cannot be said about his shoe line, especially among the UFC fighters. Several fighters have criticized the quality of the Project Rock shoes in the past, with one fighter even calling out a rival company to come to their rescue.

UFC heavyweight Tanner Boser has joined the list of dissenters. The Bulldozer, however, didn’t complain about the quality but poked holes in the nature of the deal. And not just the Project Rock-UFC partnership, Boser was unhappy with a lot of sponsors.
In a recent interview, he went off on an expletive-filled rant, talking about the lack of money from the companies. “…not every f**kface company that puts their logo all over my s**t that I don’t get a single penny from, like crypto.com and all those other ones can go eat a f**king d**k,” the fighter said.

“The Rock’s shoes can go f**k themselves too,” Boser added. The 31-year-old, however, expressed his gratitude towards Venum, one of UFC’s sponsors, for paying the fighters’ money.
Meanwhile, the criticism comes just days after Johnson unveiled a new footwear technology.

Apart from his wrestling and acting skills, the 51-year-old is also a prolific entrepreneur. Johnson is always trying to up his game and now he has found a new tech that will allow him to revolutionize the fitness industry, as per his statement.

Recently, The Great One showed off a pair of new shoes from his Project Rock collection. He referred the $160 shoes as: “World’s first training shoe made with Clone material and innovation for men and women.”
Johnson said that consumers will feel the difference when they use it for training. That said, he needs to figure out a way to make the experience better for UFC fighters, who have repeatedly pointed out the flaws in the partnership.
