One of Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock’s Instagram posts, stirred the pot recently as he claimed the DC Universe as the “Black Adam DC Universe“. Following his claim, a group of fans have been turning their back on The People’s Champ. Meanwhile, Daniel Cormier, the UFC legend, is also now miffed at DJ’s post but for a different reason.

The former WWE champion is a known fan of the UFC. He recently shared a clip of Phil Hawes vs Deron Winn fight on Instagram, in which Hawes entered the ring to The Rock’s electrifying theme music. This prompted the UFC fighter to respond to The Rock’s post.

For those who are unfamiliar with the UFC, Winn and DC are like brothers with a strong affinity. In addition, Hawes and the former UFC two-weight champion have a history of enmity, as both had got into a confrontation during an octagon interview following his victory at UFC Austin.

When The Rock uploaded a video showing Hawes overpowering Cormier’s old workmate in the cage, the UFC Hall of Famer was not so pleased. DC commented, “So Dewayne, you just gonna post my little brother getting his a** whooped. Like I mean come on champ. After all this time.”

DC expressed his angst to DJ since, just like Winn, Cormier and DJ also have a close relationship. Nevertheless, The Great One didn’t post the video to show Winn losing; rather, he posted it just because Hawes entered the ring with his legendary music.

The Rock has described his music as it represents being the toughest workers in the room, and Hawes perfectly embodies this. Hawes entered the ring while playing the WWE superstar’s signature music, as he has always been a fan of Johnson.

Another UFC fighter who entered with WWE theme music

Phil Hawes is not the only one who paid tribute to a WWE legend by using their iconic entrance music. Israel Adesanya, at UFC 276, entered the arena right before his match with Jared Cannonier in the main event carrying an urn and donning a cap that was a replica of the WWE legend The Undertaker.
