Maybe not every wrestler wants to work with the UFC. But, when someone does, almost gets the chance, and still misses it, it becomes difficult to digest the pain. But, WWE Legend Kurt Angle had to endure it, and has admitted to what he did wrong.

During a conversation with Paul Bromwell, Angle revealed exactly what went down between him and Dana White that led to his UFC opportunity being discarded.

“What happened was, after I met with Dana White and we talked out the deal that we were going to do and the money and everything. I got interviewed and I told the interviewer I was going to have a fight with Kimbo Slice in an UFC pay-per-view. I was wrong.”

Now, Slice and Angle weren’t actually going in for a singles match. At that point, White wanted Angle and Slice to be two of the contestants in the Ultimate Fighter.

“He actually offered me a substantial amount of money to be on Ultimate Fighter. When I did the interview, I got mixed up and I just thought of Kimbo and said ‘him and I were going to fight this pay-per-view’, which we probably would have. But, at that particular time it wasn’t set in stone so Dana was right to call my bluff.”

However, Kurt Angle did go through the physical tests. As of today, he doesn’t know if he passed the tests or not.
