“He F***ed Up”: Fans Go Wild as Cody Rhodes Puts Roman Reigns Crushing Through a Table

Cody Rhodes might be having his dream come true at WrestleMania 39, as main events go alongside Roman Reigns. Rhodes’ first run at WWE was lackluster and failed to uplift him as a major star. Until he left the company to reinvent himself.

After a successful run on the indie circuit, the second-generation wrestler catapulted himself as one of the top names in AEW. Cody Rhodes would then return to WWE last year at WrestleMania 38. However, soon he would suffer an injury and be sidelined for a year. Before coming back to Royal Rumble 2023, to win the event. Rhodes would return, and win the event, before challenging Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

The main-event match between both Rhodes and Reigns caught up with the pace quickly and started delivering results in a quick span of time. From the very beginning of the match, Roman Reigns would start dominating Cody Rhodes, until Rhodes turned the tables around (no pun intended).

One spot in the match involved Reigns trying to powerbomb Cody Rhodes through the announcers’ table. However, the move backfired against Reigns himself, as Rhodes would deliver a back body drop on Reigns, and leave The Tribal Chief to go smashing against the announce table.

Reigns’ drop would leave both Reigns and the table in pieces. Fans would get energized at the moment, and start cheering for Rhodes, as the momentum shifted toward him. The fear and awry of Paul Heyman would be visible on his face, as the fans started reacting.

The moment became one of the many other iconic spots from the match. The table drop helped the momentum shift towards Rhodes, and aid him. However, no sooner did Rhodes crush Reigns through the table, fans stormed the internet and started reacting to it.

Despite such heavy spots-filled moments in the match, and several momentum shifts toward Rhodes, The American Nightmare failed to capitalize on the big situation. Additionally, Rhodes’ inexperience on such a grand stage could have been the reason. And, as WrestleMania 39 came to an end, Reigns taught Cody Rhodes his lesson.
