Do you remember Brian Lawler? The famous wrestler began his WWE career in the light heavyweight division. What’s more, after doing a range of other stints, he returned to WWE in 2007.
Soon after, he used to perform a segment with his dad, Jerry Lawler. This Tag Team Champion is known by his ring name ‘Grandmaster Sexay.’ However, his career soon turned out to be short-lived. It took an end that nobody expected.

Brian was pronounced dead in prison on 29th July 2018. This was an extremely distressing time for WWE fans. What’s more, the title ‘Grandmaster Sexay’ even went up on his tombstone. His father, Jerry Lawler, posted a heartfelt message on his deceased son’s birthday.
On 10th January, he stated, “Thank you to everyone who remembered my son Brian and me on his birthday today. We love you Brian…”
Therefore, this beautiful message got fans pouring in messages. Most fans expressed their gratitude, love, and admiration for the duo. While the day is undoubtedly difficult for Jerry, seeing all the love come on from Brian’s fans was great!

The incident that took place
Well, now that we are aware of Brian’s history, let’s take a look at exactly what happened. During July 2018, Brian was reportedly arrested for DUI. However, he was released later for the same. Following the same, he was arrested and jailed again.
However, this time he was found hanging in the cell of his jail. Meanwhile, Jerry visited Brian at the hospital. Brian was pronounced dead only at 46 years. Shortly after this, all of his title belts were decorated on the day of his memorial.
