Xbox Game Pass Delays the Addition of EA Play

With all these new-gen titles out and about, along with their quite over the top prices, video games subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus are more relevant than ever. This month was supposed to be a big one for the Game Pass subscribers, since it is around now that EA Play was supposed to become a part of Game Pass, making a big addition to the lineup of titles on the pass.

However, the community will have to hold their horses a little longer since Xbox has had to delay this until next year.

The Xbox Game Pass team made an announcement regarding this earlier yesterday. According to them, they have delayed this in order to incorporate the addition of EA Play as part of the Game Pass for PC and Ultimate memberships.

Xbox Game Pass has postponed the addition of EA Play to 2021

As we said, the inclusion of EA Play into the Game Pass would mean a huge boost to the current lineup of titles on the Pass. The Game Pass team had this to say in the announcement.

“We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could provide a great experience for members by working together. In order to deliver on that, we need more time to provide the Xbox Game Pass experience.”

We all know that this year has been quite challenging for every industry out there. We have seen publishers delay games in order to deliver a perfect, finished product. Well, it is the same as the Game Pass situation right now.

In the announcement, Xbox says that they will have more information to share early next year. But until then, we need to hold our horses and support the Game Pass team.
