Xbox is on the path to release more news about their next-gen consoles coming this year. Phil Spencer did mention, off-handedly, that an August event is very much possible. Nobody knows much about the Xbox Series X. There’s a lot of speculation floating around every day as to when the Series X will be released.

Xbox is still maintaining its stance saying it will come out on “Holiday 2020”. Yesterday, on Twitter, a post went viral. During E3 2019, “Project Scarlett” was announced by Xbox. This took the form of Series X, later. The rumored ‘Project Lockhart’ was almost confirmed yesterday by the tweet. Have a look,

This particular Xbox user seems to have something that isn’t, technically, out in the markets yet. The new Xbox controller, that too in a ‘Robot White’ color, unlike the usual black. The user claims that he got the controller from OfferUp for $35. He did post an unboxing video and a series of other posts to convince the social media platform that it was an original.

The speculation around this item rose in tandem as YouTubers started digging into the leak. @Rand_al_Thor_19 posted on Twitter what seemed to be the actual confirmation of a cheaper ‘Project Lockhart’.

Xbox Series X: A White Controller Reportedly Confirmed?

How did Xbox let the controller out?

This is a fair question to ask. But this occurrence does prove something. We are not very far away from the release of the next-gen models. Furthermore, if a retail store made the mistake of shipping these to a customer, it only proves that the units have already been sent to them. This can mean that the rumored August event will reveal the price of the products. Price reveal will also give the cue to the date for pre-orders to start. The only pressure now Microsoft has is PS5 price reveal. They will both affect each other’s sales.
The wait has been long and exciting. We know what games are coming to Xbox this year. Let us hope that the August event happens soon so that we know more about it. Also, did you know Phil Spencer is going to attend a talk show on YouTube this week? Watch out for easter eggs.
