It was also mentioned that these games will be immediately available for Xbox Game Pass members after the showcase. But, a lot of the games showcased different information than previously communicated. This has led to a lot of confusion among the fans and, well, Microsoft needs to clear things up.

Xbox Series X and Xbox One mix-up
Stephen Totilo, Editor in chief for Kotaku, voiced his concern on twitter saying, “Like, fine there will be first-party Xbox Series X exclusives. Things like Everwild, Forza, Fable, and Avowed. But what Microsoft was saying in January sure did suggest that a lot of the first Series X games we’d be shown would also be for Xbox One”
To give you more context, Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, said in an interview in January, “As our content comes out over the next year, two years, all of our games, sort of like PC, will play up and down that family of devices. We want to make sure that if someone invests in Xbox between now and [Series X] that they feel that they made a good investment and that we’re committed to them with content.”

“We want every Xbox player to play all the new games from Xbox Game Studios. That’s why Xbox Game Studios titles we release in the next couple of years—like Halo Infinite—will be available and play great on Xbox Series X and Xbox One. We won’t force you to upgrade to Xbox Series X at launch to play Xbox exclusives.”
Okay, everything seems in order here. So what has changed? Well, the showcase yesterday suggested something else entirely. Take a look at these tweets from Totilo.

To make this more confusing, the Avowed trailer today only mentioned Series X and PC, but one of the game's official web listings also mentions Xbox One. Xbox's page for Everwild's mentions Xbox One, though today's trailer and official blog post only mention Series X & PC

Aaron Greenberg’s response
This is where it gets really confusing. Why would they say all your games will be available for the previous console but then not include it during the official announcement? Aaron Greenberg, Games Marketing Head at Xbox, responded saying,
“Future 1P titles are developed for Xbox Series X first. Not saying those games won’t ship on Xbox One, only that we are leading with Series X & each studio will decide what’s best for their game/community when they launch.”

This didn’t help in clearing up any doubts presented by the people. This is clearly a major miscommunication on Microsoft’s part. To add to this, the Xbox One has now shut down its production. This makes us doubt the ‘commitment’ of the company towards its previous console.
Greenberg replied to Totilo saying “Thanks for flag Stephen, will have our com team update these to be consistent.”
This still doesn’t give us any clarity. There is a lot of confusion regarding the games and clearly, Microsoft has a lot of work to do. They need to put out a statement to clarify things once and for all. Stay tuned for further updates on the same.
