Xbox Series X: No Major UI Overhaul

There has been a lot of talks recently about the design and hardware of Xbox Series X. This 4th generation member of the Xbox family features enhanced hardware ensuring faster load times, a higher frame rate, and enhanced gameplay experience. Xbox fans have been waiting for this console ever since it was announced at E3 2019 under the name of Project Scarlett.
Xbox: Games Confirmed Under Smart Delivery
At the 2018 E3 Xbox briefing, Xbox head Phil Spencer had promised fans that they were deep into architecting the next-gen Xbox consoles. Now, it is only a matter of months before the latest Xbox baby hits the market.

But not much has been known as of now regarding the interface of the console. Will it be different than the Xbox One interface? How will the dashboard look like?
Not many major changes as far as the dashboard are concerned
Tom Warren, the Senior Editor of The Verge, recently tweeted that he can confirm that the Xbox Series X dashboard will be the same as that of Xbox One.
I can confirm the Xbox Series X dashboard will be the same as the Xbox One. Microsoft is adding some additional stuff in for the console features, but the UI and dash will be the same. Speed and perf will also be improved

Shroud Faces Backlash Over Xbox Series X v PS5 Verdict
He added that the Series X dashboard being aligned with that of the Xbox One is a good thing. Although, there will be updates on the dashboard on a monthly basis. There will still be some improvements on the user interface, and mostly these improvements and changes will be first done on the Xbox One as a test case. The user interface will have minor similarities in design with the usual design of the Xbox Store and the Xbox beta app. But of course, with a more polished and tweaked look.

Is it compatible with games from other versions of Xbox?
Well, the Xbox Series X is by default expected to be compatible with the games, controllers, and accessories that are currently supported by Xbox One, along with certain selected games from Xbox 360.
As for cross-play, it depends entirely on the developers of the game. For example, Bungie has made Destiny 2 compatible for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X and allows cross-platform play among them.
