In a recent Q&A session, a fan asked Venus Williams what to do when things are not going your way as the fan is having a mental block. Using her years of experience, Venus replied by saying,

“The mental work starts before you get onto the court. You can’t just get out on the court and expect to do things you haven’t done before much like before you get to a match, you practice. So, you visualize the situations you are going to be in like if you are down a break-point and how you will react if you have a bad day. We have bad days in practice also so we work on our attitude so we don’t throw rackets.”
