Tim Sweeny, the man, the myth, the legend behind Fortnite, rather the entire Epic Games franchise and Unreal Engine, has shared facts about the game and its future.

After Fortnite recently added Creative 2.0, the hype broke all previous records as thousands of pre-existing, as well as, new fans hopped onto the game. They put their heart and soul into creating some of the best maps to date, inviting other players for a visit.

But then lingered a dark shadow where creators found themselves in an unnecessary controversy as the devs opposed the recreation of their old maps. Given that they had tremendous historical importance, with the OGs always praying for it to come back, the devs were not happy to see its replica.

And so, they voiced their opinion with proper reasoning during a recent podcast that featured SypherPK, Ali-A, and Lachlan as the hosts. They invited Tim Sweeny and Saxs Persson, who spoke about multiple things related to Fortnite.

Fortnite CEO slams creators trying to rebuild Season 1 map 

As they say old is gold, Fortnite fans have always been frenzy about the season one map. And with Creative 2.0 giving the liberty to create amazing stuff, they tried their best to revive this classic. But this didn’t stick well with the game’s devs as they banned the creation of this iconic map once and for all.

They said, “Well, it’s complicated because that’s our map, right? So we’ve been thinking about that quite a lot. In general, the rule is you can’t use somebody else’s original work. That’s the default. Like you can’t just go build Call of Duty maps in Fortnite because you know they’re owned by Activision.” This made it clear that creators had the absolute liberty to make something of their own, but the revival of any iconic map, crossover, or anything else that held value was a big no-no!

Is First-person mode coming out? 

The answer to this question still remains skeptical as Tim, as well as, Persson claims the UEFN to not be at this stage. For now, the first-person mode brings out more responsibilities – mainly the perfect camera angle for fans, which stands as the problem. Not that the devs are not familiar with working with it, but they want to bring out the best.

So, if not now, this iconic mode remains on their plate for the distant future, and fans can hope for it to drop anytime soon.
