The boxing world is highly abuzz with the news of veteran boxer Mike Tyson planning on returning to the ring. The 53-year-old made it official that he will fight exhibition fights to help raise money for charities. Joe Rogan discussed Tyson’s return on his podcast along with Tom Papa.

The two began discussing the return of old boxers like Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson. Naturally, Joe Rogan being the fight fan that he is, could not control his excitement. He started by describing the video that ends with “Iron” Mike saying, “I’m back”.

Joe Rogan said, “Mike Tyson is coming back! He looks f*cking sensational! F***ing incredible!”

The entire kingdom of boxing fans feels the same way. In the video, Mike seems as ferociously swift and powerful as he always was. However, Rogan also shared just what Mike said to him back when he was on his podcast.

“[Do] you know what’s really funny? He said on the podcast that he did not want to work out again because his ego would get fired up again. He’s actually said that in his post, that his ego has been reignited. He said something about how the Gods of War have brought him out again.”

As scary as it may seem, it is true. The former Heavyweight Champion believes that it is the Gods of War that want him back inside the ring. And what’s much more dangerous is that apparently, his infamous ego burns brightly again.

In the course of the podcast, Tom Papa asked Rogan whether a 28-year-old today will survive Mike’s devastation. Mike responded,

“I don’t know. [It] depends on the 28-year-old. But I think you, for sure, need a guy who is REALLY good at fighting to keep him off you.”
