Mikaela Mayer is one the most keenly watched prospects in women’s boxing today. The former WBO, IBF, and The Ring Super-Featherweight champion haven’t entered the ring since her loss to reigning champion Alycia Baumgardner in October last year. However, the five feet and nine inches tall Californian keeps herself fighting fit. It’s all the more significant since her old foe Baumgardner is the new undisputed world champion. So reportedly, rumors are rife of a rematch between ‘The Bomb’ and Mayer.

As much as her keenness to avenge the defeat, Mikaela Mayer makes it a point to share the latest updates and developments with her fans and followers, who number over 60k. Recently, she found Choi Hyun-mi on a Netflix reality show and shared the excitement with her fans.

Early morning today, she took to her Twitter handle to highlight her admiration for a renowned sporting brand. But it seems photographs of her shadowboxing inside the gym with hand wraps made an impression of its own on the supporters.

Mikaela Mayer tweeted, “My loyalty has always been different. Team Everlast since day 1 @Everlast_.She probably wanted to highlight how, despite the presence of other big names, she stood by Everlast right from when she turned a professional boxer.

Fans and followers chime in with their sentiments

A fan, @JamesRi34113613, lauded Mayer for her wins and why she deserves to be champion. He suggested that she tries every move that could get Alycia Baumgardner to agree to a rematch. Preferably on a co-main event during a Katie TaylorAmanda Serrano rematch. He urged her to use her powerful punches. Only then the judges won’t have any alternative but to hand the title belts back to her.

@jugrajs97278645 couldn’t help but be impressed by her fitness levels.

@Blackvulture6 followed suit and greatly appreciated Mikaela Mayer’s ripped physique.

@Af1s__ also joined many who couldn’t help but admire the former boxing champion’s superb fitness levels.

@crumplednja attested that if one is not honest and straightforward, he can barely offer anything to the world. And with that, he wished Mayer the very best for her future endeavors.

Though not a person who posts frequently, @djmcguinness still rued about her last October loss to Baumgardner. No matter what, she won the fight.

Meanwhile, the thirty-two-year-old boxer seemed uncomfortable upon learning that arch-rival Baumgadner’s promoter Eddie Hearn might consider their rematch only if Mayer’s promotion team came with a moneymaking proposition. But according to the former champion, it should instead be the other way round. As per Boxing Scene, Mayer said, “he [Eddie Hearn] can’t afford a rematch.”
