Yes, that’s right, even the most dazzling stars aren’t immune. This Dodgers’ newest two-way sensation found himself tumbling, face down! Don’t gasp! He’s alright. 

It all started as he sprawled on the ground after a spirited sprint. This wasn’t a dramatic moment of injury. It was a harmless fall. Well, what mattered in this was how he handled the fall. Though his Blue Crew folks were stunned, his reaction stole hearts. 

Shohei Ohtani Takes a Tumble: Is the MVP Okay?

Dodgers Nation tweeted the clip and captioned it, “Down goes Shohei Ohtani; that’s what happens when you train at game speed at all times!”💙. While on one hand, this lighthearted moment accurately captures the MVP’s infectious spirit, it quite shocked Dave Roberts and Ippei Mizuhara. Nevertheless, all Ohtani did was laugh at what had just happened and gave his teammate a friendly hug. 

The LA Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts, was instantly relieved that Ohtani’s fall was not fatal. He, too, saw the humor in the situation. Well, even the best take a tumble once in a while, don’t they? Though it appeared like something to be alarmed about, thankfully, it wasn’t. 

Shotime’s recent elbow surgery has pushed him to focus on hitting this season. This season, the Blue Crew will be bolstering their already star-studded Dodgers lineup. Despite a temporary shift in focus, the pitcher-hitter’s fire remains ignited. “There’s not just one level, but several levels ahead offensive-wise,” he stated through his interpreter, Mizuhara San, establishing his hunger to be back on the mound.
