Richard Sherman earned some rave reviews for his displays with the San Francisco 49ers last year. The 32-year old NFL veteran was crucial for Kyle Shanahan’s side as they made the Super Bowl in 2019.
As we near the start of the 2020 season, Sherman and Co. will be preparing another run for glory in the NFL. The former Seattle Seahawks man recently appeared in a short Instagram interview with Pro Football Focus. He talked about the 49ers, teammate Jimmy Garoppolo, the best WRs in the league and of course, the top quarterbacks he’s faced off against over the years.

Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees make Richard Sherman’s Top QB list
Sherman was asked to name some of the toughest QBs that he has played in the NFL. The usual suspects – Tom Brady and Drew Brees – made the list but surprisingly, there were more.
“I guess it depends on the place you’re at. I guess Tom, well Tom isn’t necessarily difficult to prepare for but you just know it’s going to be a full day’s work, you’ll never have him contained you know.

“A-Rod, he’s never out of the game, you know. A-Rod can start off cold and then just shoot himself right back into the game – bomb, bomb, bomb, bang – now they’re back in the game. So he’s always difficult because he can flick it anywhere, you know. He can be falling back, stumbling, hand on the ground, flicking 60 yards on a dime.
“Russell Wilson, you know, he’s always here there and everywhere and still toss the ball up. Now, they’ve given him some receivers with speed and very dynamic. Drew (Brees), you know, Drew is going to get his yards,” Sherman said.

When asked about reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, Richard Sherman replied, “Mahomes is similar to Russell and similar to A-Rod, you know. He’s like a combination of those two.
“Because he has that ability to flick it and get it as far as he wants to but he also has the ability to make stand plays, to give his receivers an opportunity to be dynamic and create. From time to time, he’ll just run it, he’ll just take off.”
