“Last Time You’re Seeing Me in the Cage” – Ricardo Lamas Proposes Retirement After Spectacular Victory at UFC Fight Night

Veteran UFC featherweight fighter Ricardo Lamas returned to the octagon to take on promotional newcomer Bill Algeo.
The former title challenger put on a great show as he bagged another victory in his illustrious career. In a fight that went the distance, Lamas achieved a unanimous decision victory over ‘Senor Perfecto.’
Even though he returned to winning ways, Lamas believes that he has done enough inside the cage. In the post-fight interview with Paul Felder, he expressed his desire to hang up his gloves.

“I don’t know man. It has been a long time since I have been back in here. And I have been kind of wrestling with the idea of hanging the gloves up. But that is something I want to talk to my family about first before I make a decision. But, you know, just to all my followers out there, this is the last time you’re seeing me in the cage. Thank you so much.”
Ricardo Lamas ends career with a humble victory

The back-and-forth bout saw both fighters giving each other a hard time standing up. In the striking department, Algeo scored more strikes. However, Lamas shone through in significant strikes. He mixed his strikes well and used his experience to venture various striking techniques.
Yet it was his superior expertise on the ground which helped him gain the edge over his opponent. He executed five brilliant takedowns and swayed the judges in his favor.
